Of course, with any public document, one ought to make some general disclaimers.  First, the viewpoints expressed within this blog are purely my own and purely reflections on my own experiences working in public schools; they are not public statements made by any of my current or past places of employment or affiliations.  Secondly, at times, some of these entries may contain some humor; In discussing some experiences that would be categorized as “on-the-job learning,” I would never imply that my training to become an Educational Leader was not valuable, especially considering that I now work as the coordinator and an instructor for that same program!  Our program works hard to prepare future leaders by embedding as many “real-life” opportunities for them and helping them to understand the value and process of collaborative leadership.  Let’s face it, though.  As a anyone working in a school knows, you have experiences that no amount of preparation can help you to predict.  Those are the types of experiences I will share within this blog.
